Newsflash! Life is short.
We all spend an inordinate amount of time doing things to ensure we can pay the bills and to keep order in our lives to avoid a life of struggle. I ask you this though, how often do you get out and do something new to fulfill yourself for you and no other reason? Be it a hike, exploring new places, travelling, picking up new hobbies, learning a language, or anything else that would be new for you.
The power of new experiences is grand and there is no better way to FEEL alive than to tackle something new and exciting for yourself, There is a rush that ties in with going after something new to fill up your cup. For me, I enjoy travelling and on my last trip through Central and South America, it was a massive eye opener for what lies beyond the big name places we normally associate travel with – i.e. Europe, the UK, the US. Getting off the beaten track is a beautiful thing and I can’t stress enough how amazing and fulfilling getting out of your comfort zone to places that seem extremely foreign.
New experiences have a way of making us feel young and enrich your soul with a sense of joy. That is goal of life though right? To reach an ultimate level of happiness and fulfillment in the day-to-day and making the most of what is on offer out there to get the most out of this life.
If you aren’t a traveller, the best thing about experiencing things anew is that you don’t even have to go far to get on board. Find a nature reserve near you and start exploring, The benefit of the internet these days is that most hiking trails and such are mapped out. If you’re not much of a hiker, jump onto a website like Redballoon.com.au and purchase yourself an experience like skydiving, canyoning, a cooking class, a helicopter ride, a kayak tour, a beautiful escape to a winery, or one of the many other experiences on offer.
Variety is the spice of life and to avoid getting stale, get out there and try something new. You’ll thank yourself for doing it and will be looking to lock in your next adventure sooner than you think.
Peace & Love.
